Getting Started with NOWaccount

This QuickStart Guide will help you quickly and easily begin using your NOWaccount to grow your business.

1. Get and View NOWaccount Notifications and Alerts

This feature allows NOWaccount to update content that is then displayed on the DASHBOARD tab.

When you first login to the NOWaccount App, you will land on the DASHBOARD tab. The content on this DASHBOARD is controlled by the NOWaccount team and is intended to give you alerts and information about NOWaccount and the system. In addition to this, your Client information is displayed at the top of the DASHBOARD, including your Client Number – NOWaccount #.

2. Search for and Add New Customers

This feature gives you the ability to enter any company name and quickly search our database of active Customers. If you find your Customer, you can add them to your NOWaccount with the click of a button. If you don’t find your Customer, you can choose to manually add a new Customer.

To use this feature, login and navigate to the ADD CUSTOMER tab. (Note: This tab will only be visible if your account has this feature enabled and if your account is not currently connected to QuickBooks). Once on this tab, you can enter the name of your Customer to see if they already exist in the NOWaccount Customer Database:

 

 

In the above screenshot, you see that you can find Customers already associated with NOWaccount. Click on ADD CUSTOMER in the left column to associate them with your account. When you click ADD CUSTOMER, this will prompt you to add a Customer ID (this can be anything you choose, it is for your internal purposes only).

 

 

Once you have added the Customer ID and clicked YES, you will be prompted to ADD CREDIT for this customer. This is not required. After adding credit or skipping this step, you will be returned to the ADD CUSTOMER screen. The customer will be visible on the CUSTOMER LIST but marked as “Pending” until the NOWaccount team reviews and approves this request to ADD CUSTOMER.

If your Customer does not appear in search results:
You can manually add any Customer to NOWaccount. Once you have completed a search, if you don’t see your Customer listed in the search results, you can click ADD MANUALLY to complete a form with your Customer’s information.

 

Please provide complete Customer information so NOWaccount can correctly add this Customer to your account.

 

3. Create Customer Credit Requests

This feature gives you the ability to enter any company name and quickly search our database of active Customers. If you find your Customer, you can add them to your NOWaccount with the click of a button. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, you can choose to manually add a new Customer.

To use this feature, login and navigate to the ADD CUSTOMERS tab. (Note: This tab will only be visible if your account has this feature enabled and if your account is not currently connected to QuickBooks). Once on this tab, you can enter the name of your Customer to see if they already exist in the NOWaccount Customer Database.

4. Create and Submit Invoices for Payment by NOWaccount

Ready to get paid? Add Invoices for approval and get paid within 5 business days. To submit invoices, login and select ADD INVOICES from the main menu. Follow the prompts on the ADD INVOICES page to:

1. Select a Customer
2. Add Invoices for this Customer
3. Select another Customer (optional)
4. Add Invoices for this Customer (optional)
5. Review and Submit Invoices for approval and payment

Step 1: Select a Customer
Select the Customer for which you want to add an invoice, then click ADD NEW INVOICE

 

Step 2: Add Invoice
Provide the invoice information, including: Invoice Number, Invoice Date, Amount, Term in Days (example: 30 for a Net 30 invoice), and a copy of the invoice in PDF format. Once completed, click the blue SAVE button at the end of the row.

 

Step 3 & 4: Add More Invoices
To add more invoices for this or other Customers, simply repeat the first two steps.

 

Step 5: Finish and Submit
Once you have completed all invoice data and saved all rows, you will have the option to FINISH AND SUBMIT your invoices to NOWaccount for processing and payment.

5. Generate Reports

NOWaccount’s comprehensive reporting engine allows you to easily organize your data to see everything that’s going on with your NOWaccount. We currently offer 5 standard reports to provide a comprehensive view of your NOWaccount:

1. Credit Request Activity: See all of your credit requests and the current status for each.
2. Customer List Report: See all of your Customers and their activity at a glance.
3. Credit Availability: See which Customers have available credit and how it’s being used.
4. Client Activity: See what payments have posted, which Customers have open balances, and what payments have been sent to you.
5. List Adjustments: See if your account has had any adjustments posted, such as chargebacks or write-offs.

To access your reports, simply login to your account and select REPORTS in the main menu.
